Interacting with other
people – people who are like-minded and like-hearted, is a tremendous source of
value for the community, workers, students and learners alike. They have the
flexibility to work part-time, engage in physical and mental learning
development. Coming together with your peers and colleagues is an opportunity
to learn, develop and grow to meet future skill needs and a recognition that
there is a need for community, workers, students and learners with a different
set of capabilities to meet the growing demands of the workplace and society.
Access to resources enables the community, workers, students and
learner’s members to continue their learning and development and their own
pace. Many Deep Communities are endowed with a set of resources that encourage
continual growth, providing opportunities for community members thrive as
individuals, teams and organisations.
Connecting with know-how is another foundational source of value for
community, workers, students and learners, where the core purpose of education
and learning should be to build people’s capabilities to function in their
lives beyond school. The opportunity to have confidence about resources and
methods empowers the type of learning and development that can only be achieved
in a space that is safe and trust-filled. Know-how is a critical component
towards a strategy that instils that type of confidence, creating that
individual setting for each learner’s journey and pace.
